You’ll find us on New Regent Street one of the only complete heritage spots left in Christchurch. Our two-level bar and dining room has been designed and fitted out by Rekindle; the local social enterprise that re-purposed salvaged timber from earthquake demolitions that would have otherwise gone to waste in landfil, into beautiful furniture and objects. As one of the only wine bars still standing, and now with a dining room upstairs, we are super passionate about our food and wine offering. With the Christchurch Tram meandering past our front window you can enjoy a spot of people watching while trying a new tipple before heading upstairs for dinner.
THE WINE BAR
Located on the ground floor our wine bar is a warm sunny open space with a soaring ceiling. Join us for a glass of wine Monday to Thursday between 5pm – 6pm and you will enjoy a tasty morsel on us – compliments of the kitchen. This area is ideal for an arrival drink prior to heading upstairs to The Dining Room. We have carefully curated a selection of exclusive New Zealand wines with the majority falling into either the organic, natural or sustainably produced range. We have a fabulous list of 10 craft beers available by the bottle and other New Zealand favourites to suit.
THE DINING ROOM
The Dining Room is an intimate private space located upstairs from our wine bar. Casual, chic, shared social dining is our usual style however if you’re looking for something different you will be able to check out our events page to see if we have something special coming up. We can take tables from 1 up to 24 – for groups over 10 you can even have this space for yourselves exclusively – take a look at “Private Dining” further down this page for details.
Our guests are always amazed by how much and what we can put out from our matchbox sized kitchen. It’s a small space that has it’s challenges but for us it’s all about being really creative, knowing what can work logistically and keeping to our philosophy of a local, simple but diverse and deliciously interesting menu. Our menu changes regularly to suit the climate and seasons and most are easily adaptable to suit the various dietary requirements of our guests. Just let us know.
